I-35 Challenge - Event details

The I-35 Challenge takes place Saturday October 18 to Sunday October 19, 2025, in Kansas City, MO 64108 US. It is a joint offering by the Garmin Kansas City Marathon and the IMT Des Moines Marathon. The challenge is designed for participants to complete races in both locations on concurrent weekends.

Entry options and fees

Participants may complete the I-35 Challenge by combining races in Kansas City and Des Moines in any of these ways: marathon + marathon, marathon + half marathon, half marathon + marathon, or half marathon + half marathon. Registration packages listed by the organizer include: Marathon + Marathon ($329), Marathon + Half Marathon ($304), Half Marathon + Marathon ($309), and Half Marathon + Half Marathon ($284). An I-35 Challenge ONLY option for those already registered in both Kansas City and Des Moines is available for $35; registration for that option ends October 17, 2025 at 8:00pm CDT.
