In the Woods 30A 50K (February 21, 2026)
The event is a 50K trail race held at the Point Washington State Forest Eastern Lake Trailhead in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. It is presented by Dune Lakes Private Wealth Advisors. Race options include:
- 50K Solo
- 2-person relay
- 3-person relay
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, February 20, 2026 at Fleet Feet Inlet Beach (11299 US Hwy 98 E, Inlet Beach, FL). There is a 9.5 hour time limit for the event.
Course, terrain, and awards
The 50K course consists of three laps: lap 1 = 10.50 miles, lap 2 = 10.17 miles, and lap 3 = 10.40 miles, for a total of 31.07 miles. Relay teams may split the laps so that a 2-person team covers one and two laps, and a 3-person team covers one lap each. The relay changeover point is adjacent to the trailhead.
Trails include mostly dirt and sand, some sand-only sections, and some gravel road. The route features multiple creek crossings with wood bridges and common trail hazards such as tree roots, rocks, fallen trees, standing water, mud, and sand. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers in the men’s and women’s solo races and to the top three relay teams. First-place solo finishers in each age group also receive awards. All finishers receive a finisher’s medal. Solo runners who complete the 50K in under four hours receive the "U4 Club" award. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
