International Superhero 5K

The For Kids' Sake International Superhero 5K in Carbondale, Illinois, is a hybrid running event benefiting children in Bangladesh, The Gambia, and Southern Illinois. The in-person 5K takes place on a certified course at Turley Park (1010 N. Glenview Dr), with chip timing provided by To The Finish.

Participants can also run/walk the 5K virtually from anywhere in the universe and log results on the race site. The superhero-themed atmosphere includes prizes for fastest times, top fundraisers, best costumes (including pets), and a fundraising incentive—raise $350+ to receive a FKSI puffer vest.
