Iron Range Half Marathon

The Essentia Health Iron Range Half Marathon is a unique race held in Northern Minnesota's Iron Range, starting in Eveleth and finishing in Virginia along the scenic Mesabi Trail. Participants are bused from the Iron Trail Motors Event Center in Virginia to the race start at the Mesabi Trail headquarters in Eveleth. The half marathon course passes through the North woods, including the iconic Thomas Rukavina Memorial Bridge, Minnesota's highest bridge, before ending back at the event center.

The event also features a timed 5K race on the Friday evening before the half marathon. Age division awards are based on chip timing, and registration by July 31 guarantees a race t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
