iRun WNY presents the 10th Annual New Year's Classic, a 5K held at Fort Niagara State Park in Youngstown, New York. Two separate races are scheduled: New Year's Eve on December 31, 2025 and New Year's Day on January 1, 2026. Both races start and finish near the historic lighthouse at Old Fort Niagara. The New Year's Eve course is clockwise and the New Year's Day course is counter-clockwise. The course is planned to use USATF Course number NY11071JG. There is one water stop on the course that runners pass twice and bottled water will be provided at the finish. The first 125 participants will receive a custom finisher medal.
Logistics and awards
Packet pickup will take place inside a large heated tent. Registration fees are $30, rising to $35 after 12/15/25; a two-race discount is $55, rising to $60 after 12/15/25. A post-race celebration will be held in the heated tent with music and light snacks; the park is open to the public and participants 21 and older may bring their own adult beverages. Free parking is available in the main lot near the pool and beach, a short 3-4 minute walk to the start; participants are asked not to use the Historic Old Fort Niagara parking lot.
Gun start and chip finish timing using Jaguar Electronic RFID will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results and finish-line photos are available in real time, and custom finisher certificates can be downloaded after the race. Custom trophies will be presented to the first overall male and female finishers; age group award decals and downloadable certificates will be provided.
