Event overview
The Island View Endurance Run is scheduled for December 5-6, 2025 at the Baron Ranch Trailhead in Goleta, California. The event includes multiple race distances over trail and fire roads and an awards banquet on December 7, 2025. Everyone on the property must provide a printed, signed release of liability waiver. There are no refunds for entries. Discounted entry (35% off) is offered for military, veterans, first responders, and firefighters.

Belt buckles are awarded to every official 100 mile finisher. The 100km and 50km receive finisher challenge coins. Special awards are given to overall male and female winners and to the top three in each category. Shoes are provided by a sponsor to podium finishers. Awards are presented at the Sunday banquet.
Course and logistics
The course is approximately 99% trail and fire road and 1% road. Elevation gain listed for each distance: about 25,000 feet for the 102-mile course, 16,500 feet for the 100km, and 8,291 feet for the 50km. The 100km has a 24-hour cutoff and the 50km has a 12-hour total cutoff.
There are four aid stations spaced roughly 4 to 7.4 miles apart: Baron Ranch Trailhead (Start/Finish), Island View Aid, Alisal Ranch Aid, and Gaviota Peak Trailhead. Aid stations are stocked with bottled water, an electrolyte drink, carbonated beverages, and hot and cold food, including vegetarian and vegan options. Runners must bring gels, energy bars, supplements, medications, personal hygiene items, and basic first-aid; personal drop bags are advised. The event operates as a cupless race, with limited exceptions for hot beverages and volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
