Fundraising and raffle
The event raises money for relief efforts following Hurricane Melissa. All proceeds will go to the CT Caribbean Disaster Relief Coalition, led by the West Indian Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity. Donations can be made online or in person; donors may share their donation receipt at the event to claim raffle tickets.
The organizer is raffling more than 20 pairs of shoes from brands including HOKA, Brooks, New Balance, ASICS and Saucony. Raffle winners must be physically present at the raffle to claim prizes. Raffle ticket pricing listed for the event is: $5 for 1 ticket, $20 for 5 tickets, and $50 for 15 tickets. The raffle will occur after participants return to the store.
