Jamestown Rhode Race : Jamestown, RI
The Jamestown Rhode Race is scheduled for September 26, 2026, on Conanicut Island in Jamestown, Rhode Island. The event includes the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- Virtual Half Marathon
The race is Green-Certified by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management. The event is capped in size and pace groups are not provided.
Course, logistics and amenities
The half marathon course circumvents nearly the entire island, with views of Narragansett Bay and the Newport Pell Bridge. The route passes Fort Getty, Mackeral Cove, historic Watson Farm, Jamestown Village, and sections with windmills, estuaries and farms. There is one small unpaved section before mile 2 and a long incline around miles 9 and 10. Roads remain open to traffic and coned running lanes will be used.
Aid stations are located approximately at miles 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 with water and Nuun electrolyte drink; some stations will offer GU gels and bananas. Port-a-potties are provided at aid stations and at the start/finish area. Parking is at Fort Getty and access there is restricted to registered participants. Race amenities include gender-specific tech shirts, finisher medals for the half marathon, free race photos, live phone-based athlete tracking, on-course medical support, and gear check at the Fort Getty Pavilion.
