The JMF Trails Hillbilly Half
The event is a trail half marathon held at Jefferson Memorial Forest in Louisville, KY. It is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025. Registration closes Wednesday, November 19 at 11:59 PM ET. Refunds are not available, but registration may be deferred to the following year.
Course and race services
The course begins at the Horine parking area and runs around the Horine lake, then down Yost Ridge Trail to the Welcome Center. Runners follow the Siltstone Trail past Bearcamp Road to a turnaround on the Siltstone ridge, then return the same way to Horine. The course contains multiple climbs and descents; finishing times may be up to 150% of comparable road half marathon times. Aid stations are located at miles 2, 5, 8, and 11 and are stocked with a sports drink, water, Coke, and food items such as cookies, pretzels, chips, peanuts, and peanut butter. Gels are not provided; participants may bring their own gels, a water bottle, and a reusable cup. Quest Outdoors is listed as a sponsor.
