Event
The Jones Gap Trail Half Marathon is held on September 12, 2026 at River Falls Lodge, Marietta, SC, near Jones Gap State Park. The event distance is 13.1 miles. Registration opens January 1, 2026. Entry pricing listed: $40 for adults and $15 for ages 1–17. Race proceeds support the Upstate Running Club Youth Team. Included with registration or at the event are a finisher medal, post-race pancakes, a custom race bib, event-themed giveaways, a race sticker, free admission to Jones Gap State Park on race day, complimentary race photos, music and a post-race gathering, chip timing with live results, a Wildly Charged hydration sample, and a custom collapsible hydration cup. Race shirts are sold and shipped separately.
Course and logistics
The course runs through Jones Gap State Park and the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area with views of Rainbow Falls, the Middle Saluda River, and Little Pinnacle Mountain. The route includes road access into the park followed by single-track trails and around 2,000 feet of total elevation gain. There are two aid stations at Mile 2 and Mile 11. The event is cup-less; participants should bring their own hydration vessel. Parking and packet pickup are at River Falls Lodge Rd, Marietta, SC. The organizer allows transfers and distance changes through the RunSignUp profile. The event offers top three overall trophies and age-group awards for first through third in multiple age categories.
