Jordan River Blitz Backyard is a timed backyard ultra held in South Jordan, Utah on October 17, 2026. The event uses a 4.167 mile loop that runners repeat once every hour for either 4, 8, or 12 hours. The loop is 100% paved and has about +45 ft elevation gain per lap. Placement is determined first by number of loops completed and then by cumulative time on all completed laps under the Blitz format, which records each lap time. Live results and timed laps are provided during the race. Entry limits are 60 runners per distance and registration closes October 16 at 11:59 PM MT.

- 12 Hours - 50 miles, +540 ft elevation
Course, amenities, and logistics
The course begins and finishes at East River Front Park, 10911 S River Front Pkwy, South Jordan. The park offers a pavilion, grassy areas, shade, playground and plentiful parking. The trail along the Jordan River has no road crossings. The course is marked with pink flags, cones, and signs. Finish-line amenities include snacks, Tailwind electrolyte drink, Great Harvest Bread at the 4-hour finish, and pizza at the 8- and 12-hour conclusions. All runners who complete at least one loop receive a finisher medal; those completing 12 loops receive a leather patch beanie. Packet pickup is available Friday 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Salt Lake Running in Sandy. Free race photos will be taken and hosted by the event photographer.
