Katz JCC POWR 5K for Parkinson's

Event
The Katz JCC POWR event is scheduled for April 12, 2026 at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill, NJ (1301 Springdale Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K run
- 1 Mile walk
The 5K course is USATF-certified and runs through a local Cherry Hill neighborhood. The event supports the Parkinson’s Connection program at the Katz JCC, which offers in-person and virtual fitness classes and support services for people with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers.
Logistics and course
Outdoor events were postponed from 2025 to April 12, 2026 due to a declared state of emergency; indoor activities were held earlier for registrants. Registrations will automatically roll over to the April 12, 2026 event. Participants unable to attend may donate their registration to the Parkinson’s Connection or request a refund by October 31, 2025; refunds are not available after shirts are received.
Packet pick-up and check-in occur at the Katz JCC Social Hall. Parking is limited; participants are asked to carpool when possible and to use the Early Childhood lot, spaces parallel to Lillian Lefkowitz Drive, or the perimeter of the main parking lot. The 5K route starts on Lillian Lefkowitz Lane and follows Kresson Rd, Cooper Run Dr, Hawthorne, Hunters Dr, and Fox Hollow Dr; runners must remain on the sidewalk while on Kresson Rd.
