About the race
The Kick for Kenya and Clean Water 5K is an annual running event held in Boise, Idaho, at Eastwind Community Church. The race features a flat, scenic out-and-back course along the Surprise Valley bike path, with a turnaround near Highway 21. Participants enjoy mile splits, course marshals, an aid station, and post-race food and festivities.
The event supports community development projects in rural eastern Kenya, focusing on education, public health, and food and water security. Entry fees are partially tax-deductible, and the race offers prizes for top finishers. The race promotes carpooling and biking due to limited parking near the start/finish area.
