Kick Out Mesothelioma 5-Miler In Memory of John W. Griffin

Registration

The Kick Out Mesothelioma 5-Miler & 2.5 Mile Walk is an annual event held in Portland, Maine, in memory of John W. Griffin, a pipefitter and Navy veteran who passed away from mesothelioma. The 5-mile race starts at Cutter Street and Eastern Promenade and finishes near the Sewage Treatment Plant Road and Marginal Way, while the 2.5-mile walk begins and ends at the Bayside Trail entrance.

Participants pick up packets at Fleet Feet Maine Running. The race supports mesothelioma research and features cash prizes for top male and female finishers, age group awards, and team competitions. A post-race party with free pizza and drink specials is held nearby. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
