Kids & Cops Doughnut Run : overview

The Kids & Cops Doughnut Run takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Wilson Park in Granite City, Illinois (2900 Benton Street). The event is held in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Proceeds will benefit programs and services offered by the Southern Region of Brightpoint. The event includes a competitive 5K and a non-competitive 1 Mile run/walk. The start and finish are on 29th Street near Park Pavilion #5.

Registration fees are $30 for ages 19 and over, $10 for ages 6–18, and free for children age 5 and under. T-shirts and sizes are guaranteed for online registrations completed by April 10; late registrants may receive shirts if available. Online registration is available through April 23; onsite registration is also offered the morning of the race. Competitive awards are offered only to 5K participants age 6 and over, including overall male and female and medals for the top two male and female finishers in each age group (6-9, 10-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). Finisher medals are available to participants of all ages in both the 5K and the 1 Mile. The event will feature refreshments, music, kids' activities, first response vehicles, a mascot photo opportunity, a basket raffle, and a silent auction. Registration fees are non-refundable; if the event is cancelled, fees will become donations to benefit Brightpoint programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
