Lake Placid Classic

Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon, 10K & 5K is a not-for-profit running event held at the North Elba Horse Show Grounds in Lake Placid, New York. The 54th edition includes three distances, with a new 5K added this year. The course starts and finishes at the show grounds, set amidst Adirondack scenery, and features two moderate hills (at the start and near the end) for the Half Marathon and 10K.

Packet pickup is at the grounds, and awards recognize overall winners and top age groups. The event supports a community wellness initiative and local youth programming, drawing around 650 participants in 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
