Lake Waramaug Polar Bear Run

The Lake Waramaug Polar Bear Run is an annual 7.8-mile race held in Warren, Connecticut, featuring a scenic counterclockwise loop around Lake Waramaug. The primarily flat course with gentle rolling hills passes through Washington, Warren, and Kent, finishing with a challenging ascent up Hopkins Hill at Hopkins Vineyard. This winter tradition attracts hundreds of runners and is supported by over 75 volunteers.

The event benefits Guiding Eyes for the Blind, having raised over $45,000 to date. Awards are given to top finishers by gender and age groups. Post-race festivities include a gathering at Kent Falls Brewing Company.
