Event overview
The Laliik Trail Races take place on March 7, 2026, at the Rattlesnake Mountain Recreation Preserve Trailhead near Benton City, Washington. This is the ninth edition of the event. Distances offered include:

The event is a fundraiser for the Winter Mountain Running Series and for the Rattlesnake Slope Preserve. The organizer, Runners of the Sage, has maintained the preserve trails since 2017.
Course and logistics
All races are trail runs. Course highlights:
- 5K: out-and-back on Aster Gully with about 450 ft of climbing.
- 11K: loop with about 1400 ft of climbing and a steep section called the Mountain Goat Challenge that ascends 700 ft over 0.43 miles.
- 10 Mile: about 1400 ft of climbing; follows part of the preserve with views of Rattlesnake Mountain and the Columbia River Basin.
- 6 Hour: based on the 11K loop, about 6.5 miles per loop with 1400 ft gain per loop; an aid station will be available at the start for loop refueling.
Registration and fees:
- Early prices apply through December 31; fees increase on January 1. Pre-registration closes February 26.
- T-shirts are included with 10 Mile pre-registration; shirts for other distances are an additional fee with pre-registration. 6 Hour finishers receive a race sweatshirt upon completing the event.

- Packet pickup on the day before the race at Frost Me Sweet in Richland. Parking is at the trailhead with overflow on the shoulder of Highway 225; participants should take care when walking along the highway. The event is cupless, so participants must bring their own water bottle. Awards include a finisher glass, top-three overall male and female awards, and a $100 cash prize for any new course record in listed distances.
