Event format and rules

Last One Standing is an elimination loop race held on November 14, 2025. Runners complete a 4.18-mile loop every hour; each loop must be finished within the hour to remain in the race. Runners who finish a loop within the hour may begin the next loop only if they are in the start corral when the hour begins. Whistle warnings will sound at 3, 2, and 1 minute(s) before each loop start. Failure to line up in the starting corral or to start a loop at the sounding of the bell results in disqualification. No non-competitors are allowed on course, and competitors may not leave the course during a loop except for restrooms. Runners must carry their own on-course aid such as water and snacks; artificial aids including trekking poles and non-competitor pacers are not allowed. Assigned bib numbers must be worn on the front of the body. No refunds, transfers, or deferrals are offered.
