Last Stand Army Backyard Ultra

Website Registration

The Last Stand Army Backyard Ultra, held in Midlothian, Virginia, is a unique endurance event honoring the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army. Participants run a 4.167-mile loop every hour, on the hour, with only one hour to complete each lap.

The race continues until a single runner remains, testing mental and physical stamina, strategy, and perseverance. For those not ready for the full challenge, an Ultra Mini option allows runners to choose their number of loops. The event fosters camaraderie among ultra-runners and supporters, set against the backdrop of the Virginia sky.

All runners receive a custom race shirt featuring the U.S. Army and American flag. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
