Leaky Hourglass Ultra

The Leaky Hourglass Ultra is a unique Last Man Standing ultramarathon held in Half Way, Missouri, about 20 miles north of Springfield. The event features a challenging 4.167-mile out-and-back course on a chip-sealed rural highway with rolling hills and approximately 250 feet of elevation gain per lap. Runners start with 60 minutes to complete the first lap, but the cutoff time decreases by one minute each subsequent lap, continuing until only one runner remains.

Aid stations provide a variety of fuel and snacks, and the course is not closed to traffic, requiring runners to stay alert and use headlamps after dark. Primitive camping is available on-site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
