The GSE Shybunko Memorial Fund presents the 2nd Annual Legacy Run in the Park, a 5K walk/run held on October 4, 2025 at Long Island Innovation Park at Hauppauge, 25 Corporate Drive, Hauppauge, NY 11788. The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine. Proceeds benefit the GSE Shybunko Memorial Fund, whose mission includes providing resources to entrepreneurs and small business owners through scholarships, workshops, continuing education, and grant opportunities.
Registration, logistics and amenities
Registration fees apply and include a processing fee; all fees are non-refundable. Personalized bibs are available for registrants who register three weeks in advance. Bib pickup opens one hour before the event start time; bib numbers will be sent by text or email before pickup. Parking is provided in the Parker Hannifin parking lot across the street from the start/finish area; entrants should use the Marcus Blvd. entrance since Corporate Drive will be closed to vehicles. Event amenities listed include t-shirts, post-race food provided by Caffé Amici, Waterloo sparkling water, live/text/email results, free finish line photos, and same-day video and photos. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, top three male and female in multiple age groups (12 and under through 80+), and the top three company teams by number of registrants.
