Event overview
Let Freedom Run 5k/10k takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Louisville Rec Center, 900 Via Appia Way, Louisville, CO 80027. The event offers the following distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- Kids Fun Run (approx 100 yards, untimed)
Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5k, $40 for the 10k, and the kids run is free. The 10k is open to ages 10 and up. The kids run is open to ages 3 to 7; registration for the kids race opens August 1, 2025. The event is an official qualifier for BolderBoulder.
Race features and charity partner
Participants receive a short sleeve T shirt and a commemorative pint glass. There is a costume contest with prizes; the event encourages dressing as an American hero. Team registration is available; each team member saves $5. Registrations for the kids race do not count toward the team discount.
The race partners with Community Food Share, which serves Boulder and Broomfield counties. Bringing five donated items from the race's list enters a participant in the race-day raffle. Most needed items include nut butters, soups and stews, cereal and oatmeal, canned tuna and chicken, baby food and formula (not expired), beans, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta and sauce, and rice.
