About the race
Little Dog's Backyard Ultra, held in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, is the sport’s famous Last Runner Standing event. The course features 4.1667-mile laps at the historic site where Backyard Ultra began and the World Championship is decided. The event invites runners to test endurance in a setting described as both legendary and playful, offering the chance to log ultramarathon milestones—from first races to 24-hour hundred-mile efforts—in a spirit of camaraderie and challenge.
