The Long Island Labor Day Lobster 5k is a 3.1-mile race on Long Island, Maine. Participants may walk, jog, or run around the island, with the course starting at the road to the barge landing (left of the dock) and finishing at the fire station at 488 Island Ave. Proceeds benefit the Long Island Fire and Rescue.

Registration is $20 in advance or $25 on race day. In a festive twist, the top male and female finishers, plus one bib-number winner, receive six lobsters to take home after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
