Long Night in Lanford

The Long Night in Lanford is a unique endurance running event held in Enoree, South Carolina, challenging participants to run from dusk until dawn on an off-road, approximately 1-mile trail. The course features varied terrain including gravel, wooded areas, open fields, creek edges, pine tree plots, and hay pastures. Runners must complete the first lap at dusk and the last at dawn, with the winner determined by the number of laps completed overnight.

The race welcomes all levels and requires participants to bring their own light source. Additionally, a 5k "Afraid of the Dark" race is offered earlier in the day.
