Event overview
The Lord Hill Trail Run takes place at Lord Hill Regional Park in Snohomish, Washington, on February 21, 2026. The event is organized by Evergreen Trail Runs and offers multiple distances:
- 5K
- 10 Mile
- 20 Mile
- 50K
Due to limited parking, 5K and 10-mile participants park at Monroe High School and use a continuous shuttle to the start/finish area. Only 20-mile and 50K participants may park at the start/finish area. Every finisher receives a piece of handmade finisher swag produced with solar power in Anacortes. The event is cupless - all runners must carry a refillable container.
Course and support
All distances begin with a substantial climb known as "the hill." The main loop is about 10.3 miles; the 20-mile and 50K routes repeat that 10-mile loop two or three times respectively (the 50K is approximately 30.9 miles). Elevation gain is listed as: 5K 650 ft, 10M 2100 ft, 20M 4200 ft, 50K 6300 ft. Aid stations are located at about mile 4.5 for the 10M; miles 4.5, 10, and 14.5 for the 20M; and miles 4.5, 10, 14.5, 20, and 24.5 for the 50K.
Trails include creek crossings, rocky and rough sections, a few slippery bridges, muddy areas, and a technical descent. Trails remain open to other users during the event, including equestrians, pedestrians, and cyclists. A free kids race (Woodland Speeders) runs a single-track course of about 0.9 mile with minimal elevation gain. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
