About the race
Lost Sierra Endurance Race, presented by Bad Luck Run Club, takes place in the Sierra Nevada high country around Downieville, California. Runners choose from 25K, 50K, or 100K. The 100K is an out-and-back epic, starting in Downieville, climbing toward the Sierra Buttes then north to Plumas-Eureka State Park and Blairsden before returning; it’s billed as one of California’s hardest 100Ks, with remote, technical trails and multiple aid stations.
The 50K is point-to-point from PESP in Blairsden to Downieville, shuttle-assisted to the start, featuring lakes, ridges and forest trails. The 25K is a Downieville loop through river canyons. A post-race celebration and a Unity Initiative charity program add community spirit to the rugged journey. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
