Monster Dash - Lake-Sumter State College
The Monster Dash is a family-friendly 5K/10K and virtual race held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Lake-Sumter State College, Leesburg Campus (9501 US Highway 441). The course runs around Silver Lake and includes scenic lake views. Proceeds benefit the LSSC Foundation to support scholarships and education.

Race details
All registered participants receive a t-shirt. Finisher medals are guaranteed for registrations placed on or before October 10, 2025. The event is timed and placement recognition or prizes are awarded to top finishers by age group and gender; age groups include 10 & Under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Over. A costume contest will award trophies to the top three costumes. Race packet pick-up is held on the athletic field behind the gym on race day.
Registration prices listed on the event page include $25 for the 5K, $35 for the 10K, and $30 for the Virtual Racer. Sponsors are acknowledged on event t-shirts, the race website, social media, and at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
