Event overview
Machete Muertos 200 (Dia De Los Muertos Ultra) takes place October 29 to November 2, 2025 at Lake Perris, Perris, CA. The event uses Group Picnic C for the start and transition area and campground access; organizers ask entrants to enter via the Moren(e) Valley entrance rather than Ramona Express Way. Parking at the lake requires a fee. Registration closes October 20, 2025. No refunds, no transfers, and no same-day registration are allowed.

The 10- and 50-mile races use a 10+ mile loop with about 2,300 feet of elevation gain per lap. The 20-mile course circles the lake and is used for the 20-mile ruck division, the 100 and 200 mile races; this course is described with 4,500 feet of elevation gain. Ruck weights are specified as 20 lb for females and 30 lb for men. Pacers are not allowed for the 10 Miler or Ruck Division; 50 Milers may pick up a pacer for their final lap; 100 Milers may have pacers after 60 miles and 200 Milers after 80 miles. One pacer per runner; pacers may change between laps. Cutoff times: 96 hours for the 200 Miler, 48 hours for the 100 Miler, 24 hours for the 50 Miler, 12 hours for the 20 Mile Ruck Division, and no cutoff for the 10 Miler. Aid is available at the transition area; additional aid stations are at mile 6 (10/50) and mile 13 (20/100/200). Group tent camping is available; no trailers or hookups.
