Macon Music Half Marathon : event overview
The Macon Music Half Marathon is scheduled for November 22, 2025 in Macon, GA. This is the third annual running of the half marathon. The course passes locations tied to Macon’s musical heritage, including the Grand Opera House, the Big House, Little Richard’s home, Capricorn Studios, the Otis Redding Foundation, Mercer’s McDuffie Center for Strings, and other historic and cultural sites. Finishers receive a commemorative medal and participants are provided a wicking long-sleeve shirt while supplies last; registrants who sign up by November 9 are guaranteed a shirt in their size.
Logistics and race details
Online and mail registration remain open through November 21. Entry fees listed are $70 through May 31, $75 from June 1 to November 10, and $80 from November 11 through race day. Packet pickup is at Luther Williams Field on Friday, November 21 (afternoon to evening) and on race morning at the start location beginning one hour before the race. Carolyn Crayton Park is the primary parking and start-area facility; it has heated/cooled restrooms, playground space, a skate park, and ample parking. Luther Williams Field offers heated restrooms and seating for about 2,600.
There will be five aid stations at approximately miles 3.25, 6, 8, 9.5, and 11. Fluids are available at the start/finish and at all aid stations; restrooms are at the start/finish and porta-potties at miles 6 and 9.5. Rules include no pets, bikes, or skates on the course, caution advised for baby joggers or strollers, walkers are welcome, a 3.5-hour time limit (16:00 min/mile), and no refunds or transfers. Awards are given by net time with categories for top overall, masters age brackets, and standard age groups; awards must be claimed at the awards ceremony and there is no duplication of awards.
