Mad Backyard Ultra

The MAD Backyard Ultra is an endurance running event held annually at Camp Jordan Park in East Ridge, Tennessee. Participants run a 4.167-mile loop every hour on the hour, continuing until only one runner remains. The flat, runnable course features a mix of exterior track, gravel, and grass surfaces.

Runners must complete each loop within an hour to advance, with no pacers or artificial aids allowed. Crew access is permitted only at the start/finish area. Awards include a unique prize for the last runner standing, participation coins, and a special belt buckle for those reaching 100 miles.
