Mad Backyard Ultra

The MAD Backyard Ultra is a challenging endurance race held annually at Camp Jordan Park in East Ridge, Tennessee. Participants must complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour, on the hour, with a strict one-hour time limit to advance. The course is flat, runnable, and non-technical, featuring trails, gravel, and grass.

The race continues until only one runner remains, testing both physical and mental stamina. Crew access is allowed at the start/finish area, but no aid is permitted on the course. Awards include a unique prize for the last runner standing and a belt buckle for those reaching 100 miles.
