About the race
Mad Scientist Dash for Sci-Port takes place at Sci Port Discovery Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. The event features a Fun Run and a 5K, plus a Lab-Coat Loungers Sleep-In Supporter option. The course is an easy out-and-back along the Clyde Fant Parkway, starting at the Lake Street corner in the parkway’s southbound lane.
The day includes a Fun Run and Costume Contest, and awards for overall male and female winners plus age-group awards (14 and under through 70+). Participants registering by Oct 9 receive an official Mad Scientist Dash T-shirt. A Lab-Coat Lounger option supports Sci-Port without running shoes.
