Maine Running Hall of Fame 5K

The Maine Running Hall of Fame 5K in Memory of Julius Marzul is an annual race held in Portland, Maine, typically in early June. The event honors Julius Marzul, a World War II veteran and dedicated runner who passed away near the finish of the Maine Half Marathon. The 5K course is a counter-clockwise loop around Back Cove, starting at the Back Cove Soccer Fields and finishing on Baxter Boulevard.

Participants receive race shirts, and awards are given for overall, age group, and team categories. The race features cash prizes for overall winners and includes a free all-you-can-eat pizza buffet at Otto's Pizza. Proceeds support the Maine Running Hall of Fame.
