Event details
The Mari Vineyards Wine Run is a 5k event on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Mari Vineyards, 8175 Center Rd, Traverse City, MI 49686. The event is chip timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results posted online. Registration is listed at $35 (regular price shown as $60) and the listed price increases after January 17, 2026. The event is open to ages 1 to 99. A virtual participation option is available; registrants can either pick up their packet and run on their own or transfer to the virtual race and have a packet shipped (shipping and handling fees apply). The local charity partner is the Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center.
Registration items include a T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, and a race bib. Free race photos will be available for download.
Course and logistics
The race starts and finishes at the winery and follows a mostly cross-country route that includes vines and grass and has areas of uneven footing. The course uses a two-lap format; participants may stop after one lap if they prefer. Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Dogs are allowed on a leash but are not permitted inside the winery building. Packet pickup is race day only; pick up is advised about one hour before a participant’s scheduled start.
