Marquette Trail 50
The Marquette Trail 50 is an ultramarathon event held in Marquette, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, featuring 50-kilometer and 50-mile trail races. The course includes mostly single-track trails with challenging climbs over four peaks—Sugarloaf, Top-of-the-World, Bareback, and Hogback—offering scenic views of Lake Superior. The terrain is rated as hilly with technical sections featuring rocks, roots, and ruts.
The event also includes a competitive 5K and kids' races on the Friday evening before the ultramarathon. Aid stations provide various nutrition options, and the race is fully supported by volunteers. Registration opens in late November with limited spots available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
