Marsh Peak Madness - June 6, 2026
Marsh Peak Madness is a trail running event at the Middle Mountain Corral Trail Head near Lapoint, UT, in the Uintah Mountains. The course is a roughly 5 mile loop with about 1,244 ft of elevation gain. The route passes high mountain meadows near Gull Lake and offers views from Lake Mountain into Dry Fork Canyon and toward Marsh Peak. Several aid and water stations are placed along the course. The site is described as a short drive from Vernal city.
Format, distances and prizes
The event includes endurance and speed formats. In the endurance events runners register for a time limit - 6 hours or 12 hours - and complete as many full loops as they can within that limit. Any loop not finished before the time limit does not count. In the speed run the first runner to finish the loop wins.

- 6-hour endurance - most laps wins
- 5 mile speed run - fastest single loop wins
Cash prizes are listed for top results: $100 for the 12-hour top finisher, $50 for the 6-hour top finisher, and $30 for the 5-mile fastest finisher.
