Mayor's 5K on the 5th Runway
Mayor's 5K on the 5th Runway is the 11th annual running event held on the 5th runway of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in College Park, GA. The USATF-certified 5K course is flat and fast, and is a qualifier for the AJc Peachtree Road Race. The race offers multiple events: Timed 5K Run, Untimed 5K Walk/Run, a Mayor's Heat for dignitaries and sponsors, a wheelchair/push-assist race, and a virtual option.
Capacity is limited to 2,000 participants. Proceeds benefit the Mayor’s Youth Scholarship Program and United Way of Greater Atlanta. Each participant receives a commemorative shirt and medal; spectators are not permitted, with limited warm-up space.
