Medoc Trail Races : October 18, 2025, Hollister, NC
The Medoc Trail Races take place at Medoc Mountain State Park in Hollister, North Carolina. The event, organized by volunteers from the Rocky Mount Endurance Club, includes two distance options and a shared start and finish area. The race is chip timed by Clockwork Timing and has a combined field cap of 500 runners. Packet pickup is available Friday evening at the park picnic shelter and on race morning; there is no race day registration. All entries are final with no refunds, deferrals, or transfers.

Course, services and awards
After a short section on park roads, the courses use series of trail loops. Much of the running is on wooded trails, including single-track sections. The 10-Miler includes additional mountain bike trails and a summit loop with one longer hill on the summit side; the 5-Miler avoids that climb. Terrain is described as mostly smooth for trails with limited rocks and roots, and runners pass waterways and varying elevation.
Aid stations are stocked with water, Gatorade, and gels; runners will pass aid stations at least three times during each loop. Finishers receive a shirt (long sleeve for the 10-Miler, short sleeve for the 5-Miler), a distance-specific finisher medal, and a finisher’s surprise. Post-race food includes soup and grilled hot dogs. Overall awards are given three deep by gender, plus masters and age-group awards (10-Miler in five-year groups; 5-Miler in ten-year groups).
