About the race
Medoc Trail Races is a runner-first trail event held at Medoc Mountain State Park in Hollister, North Carolina. The weekend features two distances: a 10-mile and a 5-mile race. Runners share a common start/finish area and run similar courses, with the 10-miler adding mountain-bike trails and a summit loop.
The course traverses wooded single-track, with views, waterways, and rolling hills; if lucky, you may glimpse Medoc himself. The race emphasizes community: free camping, enthusiastic volunteers, a long-sleeve tech shirt, custom finisher medals, well-supported aid stations, post-race soup, grilled hot dogs, and live bluegrass from Rollin Coal, plus a finisher's surprise.
