MELC Turkey Trot : event overview
The MELC Turkey Trot is the 14th annual running event held in Monmouth, Illinois. It takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 221 East Broadway, Monmouth, IL. The event includes multiple participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Kids' Run (untimed)
- Virtual Run/Walk
- MELC Supporter (shirt only)
The 5K course is described as mostly flat with the exception of Euclid Hill. The course starts on Broadway in front of MELC (First United Methodist Church) and finishes at the square.
Logistics, fees and awards
Packet pickup is available Wednesday, November 26 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, Monmouth (enter through the front doors), and on race day at the same location. Registration windows note that shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by Friday, November 7; registrations from November 8 to November 27 do not have a shirt guarantee. Prices listed include mandatory charges and fees: 5K Run/Walk $34.09, Kids' Run $12.69, Virtual Run/Walk $34.09, MELC Supporter $28.74. Timing and scoring are provided by ShaZam Racing.
