MELC Turkey Trot

The MELC Turkey Trot is an annual 5K Run/Walk event held in Monmouth, Illinois, starting at 221 East Broadway in front of the MELC (First United Methodist Church) and finishing at the town square. The mostly flat course includes a slight challenge at Euclid Hill. The event also features a Kids Run, which is untimed, with all participants receiving medals.

Participants can register for in-person runs, a virtual run/walk, or as supporters without running. The event is sponsored by Hawk Heating and Cooling and Smithfield, with timing and scoring provided by ShaZam Racing. It offers a festive atmosphere suitable for all ages.
