Mendocino Running Festival : Mendocino, CA (September 11, 2026)
The Mendocino Running Festival is a weekend race and outdoor festival held at Mendocino Woodlands Park, a National Historic Landmark near 39350 Little Lake Rd, Mendocino, CA. The event uses a looped trail course of about 6 miles per lap, mostly single track, with 875 feet of climb and two aid stations. The event offers both timed formats and set distances:
- 12-hour timed format
- 6-hour timed format
- Half marathon
- 10K
Camping, food and policies
The festival occupies private group camping inside the park and offers three camping options for the weekend: tent cabins with cots, space for campers and tow-behinds, and tent/car/truck sites. Weekend camping fees include two nights of camping options, parking for one vehicle, access to hot showers and wash houses, and access to camp commons, complimentary yoga sessions, live music, and evening events such as a fire-pit s'mores gathering and short fun races (Dino Dash and a beer-mile event). Weekend Food Passes are sold separately for $50 per person and cover multiple meals including a pre-race pasta dinner, breakfasts, race-day lunch and dinner. Race-only registration includes one post-race lunch. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable; deferral to the next year is allowed only outside 30 days.
