Merrill's Mile
Merrill’s Mile is a USA Track & Field certified ultramarathon held at Camp Frank D. Merrill in Dahlonega, Georgia. The event features a 0.9951-mile paved loop course, 12 feet wide with about 10 feet of elevation gain per lap.
Runners compete in 6-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour, and 48-hour races, changing running direction every 6 hours. The course includes a fully stocked aid station offering a variety of foods and drinks throughout the day and night. Camping is available on-site, and the event takes place in July, known for hot and humid weather.
