Metric Marathon

The Metric Marathon is a scenic 26.2-kilometer (16.28-mile) race held annually the first weekend of October in Harwood, Maryland, as part of the Annapolis Striders Championship Series. The course features rolling hills on paved rural roads in Southern Anne Arundel County, with notable hills around miles 12 and 14. It is an open road course with five aid stations providing water and Gatorade approximately every three miles.

The event welcomes runners with an entry fee of $15, discounted to $10 for Annapolis Striders members. Awards are given for overall and age group placements, and volunteers are encouraged to participate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
