Format, awards and beneficiaries
The event includes a timed 5K run and an untimed 2-mile walk, plus a Relax option with on-site activities such as yoga, meditation, coloring and puzzles. A virtual participation option is available; the virtual option can include a participant shirt and a finisher medal, with a mailed swag bag available for an additional charge. All walk and run finishers receive a finisher medal and the 5K is professionally timed. Prizes are offered for dressing in purple flair. Funds raised will benefit Miles for Migraine programs and the Montefiore, Weill Cornell, Mt. Sinai and NYU Langone Headache Centers.
