Event details
Mission Tejas takes place on November 15, 2025 at Mission Tejas State Park in Grapeland, Texas. The event offers multiple distances and a free kids run for ages 12 and under. Distances include:
- 5k
- 10k
- 25k
- 50k

Course and support
Races run on two alternating 5k loops that start and finish at the Mission. The "A" Loop is gentler pine single and double track. The "B" Loop includes a technical stone-steps climb. Loops must be run in order; race formats use combinations of A and B (for example, 10k runs A then B; 25k follows AB-AB-A; 50k repeats AB five times).
There is one fully stocked aid station at the start/finish area with a timing tent and a medical treatment area. Aid station items listed include water, sports drink, electrolyte options, snacks, sandwiches, limited medical supplies, and evening cooking for longer events. Drop bags are placed on a ground tarp at the start/finish; runners are encouraged to set up a personal gear area. Pacers are not allowed and crew access is limited to the start/finish area. Registration generally includes park entry and a group camping add-on is available. Volunteers receive park access and event credit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
