Mississippi Trail 50

Website Registration

The Mississippi Trail 50 is an ultramarathon event held in the De Soto National Forest near Laurel, Mississippi, featuring distances of 100 miles, 50 miles, 50K, and 20K. The course runs primarily on gently rolling pine forest terrain, mostly single-track with some double-track logging roads along the Longleaf Horse Trail. The 100-mile race starts Friday noon with a 30-hour cutoff, while the other distances begin Saturday morning with a 12-hour limit.

Unique to this event, runners can switch to shorter distances mid-race (except in the 100-mile), making it beginner-friendly. Finishers receive mementos, with belt buckles awarded to 50- and 100-mile finishers. The event also features well-known aid stations and post-race food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
