About the race
Georgetown, Kentucky hosts the Mogadishu Mile on the White Sulphur Baptist Church property at 5300 Ironworks Rd. This military-inspired team race features four-person teams carrying four ammo cans through an obstacle section under half a mile, with five exercises totaling 100 reps for the group: tire flip, box jumps, smash ball, burpees, and push-ups. After the obstacle portion, teams drop the ammo cans and complete a 1-mile run pulling a 35‑pound ruck.
Teams finish together, with time deductions for anyone left behind. Awards are given in multiple divisions, recognizing teamwork, endurance, and the Mogadishu Mile legacy.
