About the race
Monterey Spartan Event Weekend takes place at Toro Park, six miles from downtown Salinas, in California’s Monterey region. The 2026 edition offers a Sprint 5K with 20 obstacles and a Super 10K with 25 obstacles, plus a Kids Race (1–3 km). Racers tackle rugged, off-road terrain through dense vegetation, rolling hills, and coastal scenery, with brutal climbs, open-field sprints, and signature Spartan obstacles.
The weekend also includes Spartan Trail Races and a festival atmosphere with finish-line energy, music, and food. Prices now include all fees; team entries and sponsor perks are available.
