Moonlight Bootlegger 5k - event overview
The Moonlight Bootlegger 5k is a night trail event held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Maybury State Park in Northville, Michigan (49601 8 Mile Rd). The event is the 14th running of the Moonlight Bootlegger series. The program includes the following event options:

Course, logistics and rules
The course runs on trails at Maybury State Park and combines wide trail sections and flowing singletrack. Organizers mark the route with more than 300 tea lights. Participants must carry a headlamp or flashlight. Post-race amenities listed for registrants include a custom tech shirt, a commemorative mason jar, two moonshine cocktails or mocktails, live bluegrass music, a post-race party, and race photography.
The event refund and transfer policies are stated: no refunds within 30 days of the event; earlier requests may be eligible for a 50% refund (processing fees excluded). Entries cannot be deferred to another year. Entries may be transferred to another individual for a $5 fee, with shirt size changes not allowed.
