Event overview
The Mother's Day 5k Run / Walk is a 5k event in Ocala, Florida, scheduled for May 2026. The course starts downtown, goes through Ocala's Historic District, and finishes in Citizens Circle. A post-race music program and a Mother's Day celebration are planned after the finish. Awards are given by standard age groups, with additional awards for Top Mother and Top Grandmother.
All participants receive a soft race shirt and a race medal (the first 275 sign-ups receive a current medal; later registrants receive medals from previous events). All mothers receive a flower. Registered participants also receive a raffle ticket for multiple drawings; winners must be present to claim prizes. The event has a no-dog policy for the race course; leashed spectator pets are allowed along the sidelines and registered service animals are exceptions.
Registration and logistics
Early registration pricing follows a tiered schedule in the event description: early-bird pricing starts at $35 before March 31; the fee increases to $40 from April 1 through April 30, then to $45 until the event; day-of registration is listed at $50. Packet pick-up is scheduled on Friday at Running Elements, 29 NE 1st Ave Suite E, Ocala. Saturday on-site registration is also offered.
